Mention if the car lives near the beach and if the driver's door has been stiff, because that changes what gets looked at first.

My fob works sometimes. Is it dying?+
Maybe, or the door lock is. Near the water a corroded actuator can leave a door that does not respond even though the signal arrived, and it gets blamed on the fob. Say if the car lives on the ocean side and whether the driver's door has been stiff, and that gets checked first.
Can you supply the fob or do I have to buy one?+
