Pacifica: right on the ocean, and the hardest place on this site to keep a lock alive
The coast towns strung along Highway 1 below the county line — Sharp Park, Rockaway, Linda Mar — with the water at the end of most streets. Thirty-four minutes from Divisadero, the longest run we make.

Pacifica takes the worst salt in the whole service area, worse than the Great Highway and considerably worse than the Sunset, because there is nothing between the houses and the ocean at all. A plain brass cylinder on a street-facing door here can be finished in three years, and people who live along this stretch tend to know it already. The only advice worth giving is the one this site gives twice: marine-grade stainless costs more once instead of costing you again and again. Replacement is $125 to $319, a rekey $28 to $46 per cylinder, a lockout $135 to $249 with a snapped blade extracted and a new cylinder fitted on the same visit. Thirty-four minutes is the honest run and it is the longest on this site, quoted on the call before you decide to wait for it. The price list is the city list, with the $89 visit inside every figure.
Give the street and the neighbourhood — Sharp Park, Rockaway or Linda Mar — and say how close you are to the water, because within a few streets of the beach it changes what we expect to find inside the lock. Thirty-four minutes is the usual arrival and it is said before you agree to wait.
Pacifica sits at the edge of the map the van covers, so arrival runs about 34 minutes. Every service and price on this site applies there, with nothing added for the distance.
FAQ
Asked about Pacifica
Is it really worse here than in the Sunset?+
Yes. Nothing stands between these streets and the ocean, so a street-facing cylinder can be finished in three years where the Sunset would give you five or six. It does not change the price of anything; it changes what is worth fitting, which is why stainless comes up on every call out here.

San Francisco plus Daly City, Colma, Brisbane, South San Francisco and Pacifica, 24 hours, holidays included. Stiff, halfway, snapped, or a healthy lock on the wrong side of a closed door: one number comes back with the $89 visit and the hour of the night already inside it, and it is the number on the receipt.
